Folklore & History Cypress trees are exceptionally long-lived, with some believed to be over 2000 years old. Known since antiquity, the Egyptians used to burn cypress with juniper and pine to purify the air in temples, reflecting its historical significance in cleansing and protective rituals.

Properties Cypress essential oil is renowned for its antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitussive, astringent, diuretic, and vasoconstrictor properties. It is restorative to the nervous system, helping with insomnia and calming the mind. In the muscular/skeletal system, it alleviates fibromyalgia and arthritis. For the circulatory system, it acts as a venous decongestant, helping with varicose veins, edema, and hemorrhoids.
